Königshafen is a protected standing area on the eastern side of the island in the Wadden Sea. There is plenty of space on the beach for set up and launching, although kite schools may occasionally be present. During the summer months, the spot can become crowded, so kitesurfers should be cautious and maintain safe distances from others.

How to get to Sylt Ellenbogen and how to bring it about while you're there
To access the spot, a small toll fee of approximately €6 is required to enter the Ellenbogen. The best place to park is at the designated "Kiterparkplatz," which can be easily identified by the kite school's material wagon. The kite spot is accessible with most wind directions, except for NW, which can be offshore and gusty due to the dunes. Wind directions such as North-Northwest, North, or North-Northeast are generally not recommended for kitesurfing at this spot.
