The wind is usually side-onshore, offering both safety and fun wave-riding potential. How to get to Tofo Beach and how to bring it about while you're there
To get to Tofo you can fly into Maputo, Mozambique’s capital, and then take a domestic flight to Inhambane, the closest airport to Tofo. From there, it's a short 30-minute drive to the beach. Alternatively, you can travel overland from Maputo by bus, shuttle, or rental car, a journey that takes around 7 to 8 hours depending on road conditions.
