Matas Blancas Kitesurfing wind conditions

From May until September offers the most consistent wind conditions in Fuerteventura but the island has a lovely climate throughout the year so you can kite here any time. The average daily temperature in the winter is 20 degrees Celsius, while in the summer it is around 28 degrees Celsius. The water temperature usually ranges between 18 to 23 degrees Celsius. The wind here is thermally generated so as the land heats up the air rises, pulling in colder air from the ocean. The wind picks up speed in the morning and reaches its peak about noon. The stronger the wind the more gusty it becomes. Wind speed usually starts from 15 knots and can get really strong, so this is definitely a good spot to have a small kite in the bag.
