Paracuru Kitesurf Spot in Ceara Region
South America Kiteboard Spot in Brazil
Welcome to Quebra Mar, an exceptional kitesurfing haven situated to the east of Paracuru. Known as one of the premier wave spots in the region, Quebra Mar beckons enthusiasts to experience the thrill of kitesurfing against the backdrop of pristine waves and natural beauty.
Paracuru Kitesurfing wind conditions
Quebra Mar is all about the wind – consistently delivering ideal conditions for kitesurfing. From July to January, kitesurfing enthusiasts can take advantage of wind speeds ranging from 15 to 25 knots. The reliable east to southeast winds from the Atlantic create the perfect setting for an exhilarating kitesurfing adventure.
Quebra Mar Wave Spot:
Quebra Mar stands out as one of the best wave spots in the region. A reef about 300 meters offshore breaks the waves, providing excellent kitesurfing conditions. Depending on the swell, waves exceeding 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) are common, with a cleaner and more pristine wave set compared to neighboring Taiba.
Low Tide and Lagoon:
At low tide, Quebra Mar reveals its versatility. The offshore reef creates a mirror-smooth lagoon approximately 200 meters long. Shallow water lovers and freestylers have around four hours to enjoy the lagoon before the water rises over the reef. If the spot is crowded during this time, an alternative is Catavento, just 3 kilometers upwind.>
