Here in La Ventana, you will find a constant wind flow all day long. But, during the peak seasons, i.e., between December and March, the wind speed stays around 15 to 25 knots. The Passat wind flows mostly from the North and Northeast direction. November and April are the early and late seasons, respectively. During these times, the wind speed slows down and revolves around 7 and 15 knots. However, La Ventana is also a thermal kite spot. Therefore, wind forecasts are not always reliable. Located on the southern side of La Paz, La Ventana is one of the best kitesurfing destinations around Mexico. To reach there, Los Cabos Airport (SJD) is your destination if you are traveling internationally. La Ventana is around 147 km away from there. So, if you hire a car or taxi, it will take about 2 hours and 26 minutes. A bus route is available from La Paz to La Ventana, which travels only once a day.
